Golden temple was began made in 1574 on land of Mughal emperor Akbar according to documents Golden temple building project was seen by the 4th and 5th Sikh Gurus. The temple was completed in 1601, but embellishment was continued over the years. 19th century, 100 kg of gold were applied to the temple buil on lotus dome shap and decorative marble was added.
